Arabia, were on hand to pitch in and to greet the participants.
Golfers started returning to home base after completing
the 18 hole tour at 12:30 pm. Hot and delicious Korean
lunch awaited the players, catered by Korean Restaurant
in Jeddah and hosted by H.K.Seo, who is also an old hand
when it comes to golfing. As the competition came to an
end around 1:00 pm Malcolm Rees and his associates started
tabulating the scores, while everybody enjoyed Korean
cuisine. Immediately after lunch, prize distribution ceremony
started and H.K.Seo along with Sol Bou-Nacklie and Alaa
Al-Daley gave away the prizes. LG had decided to give
trophies along with LG products to the winners. These
products represented the three main segment of LG business.
Ten different awards were given away along two lucky
draw prizes during this 2nd LG Open Golf Tournament.
The top awards were won by Waleed Zahid - winner for
the special LG Digital Award. Medalist Award went to
J.M.Lee and the Flight A and B champions were I.C.Sim
and K.S.Park. Men's Nearest the Pin award was won
by Rick Allen and the Longest Drive Award was Picked
up by H.K.Lee. The Ladies Nearest the Pin was won by
Sultana Ali Reza and the Ladies Longest Drive was won
by Ann Ericksson. Winners were awarded trophies and
LG products as declared earlier. Asad Hameed, being
the overall champion, received 44" Projection TV
along with his trophy. Products like LG Flatron TV,
microwave ovens, home theater systems and LCD TV were
given to various winners. LG had pledged 60" Plasma
Television as a prize for the Hole in One winner for
the ninth hole, which was not archived by any player.
H.K.Seo, in his closing speech, thanked all the players
for their participation. He thanked the Desert Lakes
Golf Course captain Malcome Rees and other members of
the staff for their assistance. LG Electronics also
presented on 29" Flatron TV to the Desert Lakes
Golf Course as a gift to be placed in the Club Hall.
